The Gold Coast’s first trampoline park set for Burleigh Heads

Air Factory, Australia’s largest indoor trampoline park, opens its doors in Burleigh Heads today.

The words fun and fitness often get grouped together but what that generally means is that the former only applies if you are fanatical about the latter. If you’re not, well, it’s highly likely that you won’t find said activity overly enjoyable. Unless of course you’re referring to Air Factory at Burleigh Heads. This is one fitness craze that may actually live up to its hype and be both fun and beneficial to overall fitness, even if you’re not an athlete!

Air Factory offers 4,700m2 of bouncing space across 140 trampolines and has dedicated zones and equipment to cater for everyone from young children through to gymnasts and professional athletes. There’s also three dodge ball courts and a ‘zorb soccer’ arena where participants can test their skills while strapped inside an inflatable ball.

Four 11 metre long trampolines create a tumbling track for the adventurous with a 14 metre long air bag at the end to provide a safe landing for aerial tricks.

Trampolining, besides being awesome, also has a range of health benefits including both physical and mental and is great for surfers, wake boarders, dancers and divers who are seeking to add some cross-training to their regime.

Air Factory will officially open to the public from Thursday 18 December.
