Let Tuscany on Tamborine whisk you away in an Italian daydream

There’s a little slice of paradise that’s been painstakingly crafted over the last little while, tucked away up the winding road to Tamborine Mountain – and now it’s opening to the public, and will be slinging the adored strawberry ice-creams to celebrate. Say ciao to Tuscany on Tamborine.

Located in the hills of Mount Tamborine, the sprawling property is a jaw-dropping Tuscan-inspired villa that overlooks ten acres of organic avocado trees. Think a European jaunt, just a short drive from the Gold Coast. The venue will play host to a wide range of events and festivities once open, from photoshoots to private functions, and feels like you’ve just stepped into a parallel universe where we can actually travel to Italy. No, friends, this is the Scenic Rim – but it’s just as stunning as the real deal. Intricately patterned tiles, olive trees, stucco finishes and towering windows – not to mention the aqua-hued pool – come together to create a property that truly has to be experienced.

On Saturday December 11, the gates of the grand estate will swing open for the first time, and to celebrate Tuscany on Tamborine is throwing one heck of a party – all for an amazing cause, of course. The Common Good, an initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital, has partnered with the venue, which will be selling the much-loved EKKA Strawberry Sundaes – the treats that send punters into a frenzy each year when Ekka rolls around. Plus, you’ll be greeted with live music, a sausage sizzle from the Royal Fire Brigade and plenty of other treats for you to discover on the day. All of the proceeds received on the grand opening day will be donated to The Common Good, with the proceeds being used to fund medical research into heart disease to enable better patient outcomes for heart, lung and kidney transplant recipients.
