In today’s mass produced, machine-automated world, local company Turn Turn Turn is going against the grain and making pepper mills, salt bowls and kitchen accessories one gloriously imperfect piece at a time.

For Dave Grant, the hands behind Turn Turn Turn, woodturning began as a hobby but has quickly grown into an obsession. He now spends his days collecting interesting pieces of wood from around the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales to transform into beautiful and functional pieces of art for your home.

As each piece of timber is unique, Dave embraces its individual characteristics and even highlights the holes and crevices with bits of copper, gold and silver rather than filling them with glue to disguise the imperfections. The result is a piece that is truly one of a kind. Appreciate Dave’s craftsmanship in person at Blackboard Coffee in Varsity Lakes as well as in the deli at Harvest Cafe & Deli at Newrybar, however if you’re keen to get your hands on a bespoke piece of your very own, reach out to Dave via Turn Turn Turn’s Instagram.
