Grace your table with crockery from Thrown By Jo

From her garage turned workshop in Palm Beach, Jo Norton perches over her potters wheel spinning, moulding and creating ceramic crockery. The talented local is the hands and heart behind Thrown By Jo.

Thrown By Jo combines form and function to create pretty pieces for your home and table. Your morning coffee becomes a special moment to savour with a weighty ceramic mug and mealtime becomes a catalyst for making memories with settings and servers from Thrown By Jo. Every piece Jo creates embraces its unique imperfections as a reminder that it has been created by her hands, for yours.

Thrown By Jo makes pieces are made to be used, not just to look lovely on the shelf, although they do that too. Finding inspiration in the simple beauty of landscape, natural and manmade, Jo celebrates the material and keeps colours neutral. At present, Jo’s range includes plates, bowls and spoons but she’s putting the finishing touches on a few utility pieces such as citrus juicers and mortar and pestles. There is an online store in the works but for now you can gaze lovingly at her creations online or find some in the clay at Small Stall in Palm Beach.
