Give a damn about the environment with Gold Coast artisans The Ceramic Mill

Whilst the majority of us Gold Coasters drink (and love) coffee, we’re also an incredibly busy bunch – so it’s often consumed on the go, adding fuel to the mounting issue of paper-cup use. Whilst there are generally a lot of options out there for reusable cups, not everyone is buying them. If you’re a little slow to jump on the reusable-cup bandwagon, then perhaps these locally-made cups from The Ceramic Mill will sway you in the right direction.

Local duo Brittany Frost and Kylah Rumble are the talented minds and hands behind The Ceramic Mill, which handcrafts reusable coffee cups from a work space in Mudgeeraba. Subtle strips of pastels in hues of pink, blues and greens add a touch of colour and style – seriously, who wouldn’t want to front up to a cafe with one of these bad boys in their hand?

It’s totally refreshing to see The Ceramic Mill getting their hands dirty to create environmental and social change. Plus, there’s just something about handmade ceramics that you just can’t get from mass-produced products. Yep, you really can’t beat that feeling when something goes from the hands of an artisan directly to yours. You can get your mitts on The Ceramic Mill cups at Bam Bam Bakehouse and Next Door Espresso. What are you waiting for?
