Get stocked – final plans revealed for the Gold Coast’s first surf park, PV Golf & Surf Resort

For a dynamic community like the Gold Coast, a tagline claiming ‘nothing like it in the world’ is a great feat to achieve. But the PV Golf & Surf Resort project, complete with its modernist architecture, custom-wave lagoon and world-class golf course, might just live up to the hype.

The proposed PV Golf & Surf Resort precinct is set to enhance the Gold Coast’s offering with a world-first in recreation, residential living and resorts. This $300-million project plans to upgrade Parkwood’s classic venue, The Club at Parkwood Village, and elevate its original sports and recreation clubhouse with a unique lifestyle and tourism hub – in addition to a resort, residences and lifestyle facilities.

Lovers of The Club’s sporting facilities fear not – the final plans intend to not only update the 18-hole golf course but add a first-of-its-kind surf park, Parkwood Village Surf Co. The proposed 300-m-long lagoon will sit alongside the golf course and swell the perfect custom-made break. The pool is designed to offer a genuine surf feel with rolling waves, blue waters and sandy shorelines for surfers and swimmers year round.

Since the surf park guarantees the Parkwood project for Australian landmark status, the planned Parkwood Village Resort aims to capture the ultimate tourist experience. The luxe accommodation will offer the classic Gold Coast beachside holiday with villas overlooking the lagoon shore. Complete with short-term rentals, 12 resort villas, a beach club, bowling alley and a wedding chapel, the resort will have something for both locals and tourists to enjoy.

PV Golf & Surf Resort will even let you make a resort holiday an everyday thing. The precinct overhaul brings waterfront living to Parkwood with eight apartment buildings for a planned -community unlike anything else. Amidst the minimalist curved design, Gold Coast locals can expect to find a Living Choice Retirement Village, brewhouse, co-working space, health and wellness Active Hub and 120-person child care centre for a fully integrated and holistic community centre.

The mixed-use precinct will wrap around the surf lagoon and serve residents, visitors and tourists. Self-defined as an “integrated resort”, PV Golf & Surf Resort brings together the best of the Gold Coast into one precinct with everything from white sandy beaches to dining, wellness and community. If approved, Parkwood Village will be a world-first in design, leisure and tourism for both locals and tourists.
