Mid-century meets Morocco at Currumbin homewares gem Parker & Persia
Nestled in a small space along Currumbin Creek Road lies Parker & Persia, a newly opened homewares haven that is full of treasures. Local duo Steph Coutts and Sam Chilcott are behind the dreamy new space, and let us warn you now – you’ll find it (very) hard to leave without making a purchase.
Parker & Persia specialises in mid-century furniture, Moroccan rugs and unique homeware pieces. The midcentury-modern pieces are all original, sourced from across the country and are lovingly restored like new – so if you’re looking for that one-off piece, be it a sideboard, buffet or coffee table, then you’ll want to spend some time here.
There’s also a vibrant collection of handmade vintage-style rugs, sourced direct from Morocco, which are on display and ready for you to roll out at home. Parker & Persia’s walls are also adorned with work from local artists – right now, it’s colour-popping creations and landscape prints from local talent Todd Clare.
