Waterfront vertical village Marina Concourse comes to life in Benowa
If you’re a frequent traveller along Benowa’s Ross Street, chances are you’ve noticed some pretty eye-catching architecture come to life over the past few months. The final touches are now being put on the anticipated Marina Concourse project – a waterfront vertical village that forms part of Sunland Group’s new mixed-use community. We took a look at the striking new development ahead of its unveiling this spring.
The $82-million dollar Marina Concourse spans over two impressive six-storey towers, which sprawl gracefully around the waterfront with views across to the Nerang River, the Gold Coast hinterland and east toward the Surfers Paradise skyline. The project will feature luxe two and three-bedroom apartments nestled around a ground-level retail and dining atrium, as well as existing corporate offices, a real estate agency, a brand-new swim school and a proposed childcare centre. So basically, if you live in one of the 110 apartments, you’ll never (ever) have to leave. Well, maybe once in a while to stock up on essentials like gorgonzola, olives and wine to enjoy from your balcony at sunset, but otherwise that’s it.
Though, it’s not just the residents that will reap the benefits of Sunland’s latest mixed-use footprint. Local foodies can throw their hands in the air because the Marina Concourse atrium will eventually feature a waterfront restaurant or eatery (hurrah!), with the developer currently scouting for a new operator for the soon-to-be-complete alfresco dining space. Reckon you’ve got something that fits the bill? Head here for more for information. The Marina Concourse stage is due for completion in October, with further retailers to be announced in the coming months.
