A new Jewel planned for Surfers Paradise
Demolition works have commenced in Surfers Paradise to make way for Jewel, a tri-tower highrise development that is being developed jointly by Wanda Commercial Properties and Ridong Gold Coast (RDG) under the name Wanda Ridong (Gold Coast) Development.
Designed by internationally renowned DBI Design, the striking highrise towers are intended to symbolise three crystals on a beach and will deliver a six-star hotel, luxury apartments and resort-style facilities to the area. The Wanda hotel will feature 300 suites across 45-levels while the northern beach tower, rising 41-levels, will contain 215 luxury apartments. The beachfront tower will offer 108 premium residences over 35-levels.
Jewel is located on the largest urban beachfront site on the Australian eastern seaboard at 1.13 hectares. The hotel suite, luxury apartments and premium residences will address over 110 metres of absolute beachfront on the corner of Old Burleigh and Wharf Roads and have three street frontages.
The luxury hotel is scheduled to be open in time for Christmas 2017, with pre-sales of the apartments available next year.
