Jardan releases new 2014/2015 collection
Melbourne furniture maker Jardan has released its new 2014/2015 collection, touting tactile feels and pure forms. Designed and crafted in Melbourne by Jardan lab, the latest offering makes the most of the true nature of the raw materials at hand, with timber finished in natural oil, and handcrafted elements complementing intricate joinery.
The contemporary, sophisticated collection comprises two tables and lamps, a sofa, bed and mirror, with the Finley bedframe boasting a solid American Oak frame and vegetable-tanned leather sling as the bedhead. The Hunter table features strong, graphic lines of solid timber in a trestle style, while the Harper sofa pairs subtly angled twig-like arms with refined cushioning that is perfect for nestling into. The continued thread of modernist elegance and simplicity of raw timber and understated hues for fabrics in Jardan’s pieces makes matching new home favourites with existing pieces a pleasant task.
