Pick up some fine art with your flat-pack at IKEA
While IKEA is great for inexpensive (albeit sometimes infuriating) flack-pack furniture and meatballs, it probably isn’t the first place that springs to mind when you’re looking to purchase some new art for your abode. Introducing Ikea’s Art Photography collection.
IKEA has branched out from affordable furniture to release a limited edition collection of 11 photographic posters by 11 contemporary artists from around the world. The Art Photography collection is designed to make great art accessible to everyone and features evocative work from UK-based photographer Mandy Barker, who tells the story of a marine environment that is literally drowning in plastic debris, French artist Mathieu César, who is widely credited with redefining the celebrity portrait, and Bobby Doherty from New York City, among the contributors.
Rounding out IKEA’S Art Photography collection is Annika von Hausswolff, Nathalia Edenmont, Jill Greenberg, Tanya Long, Chad Moore, Bára Prášilová, Rankin and ®obin. IKEA’S Art Photography collection is currently available in stores but not for long!
