Greenfolk brings plants, homewares and botanical vibes to Burleigh

Green thumbs, plant nerds and lovers of homewares, your attention please! A new botanical wonderland called Greenfolk has opened in Burleigh’s emerging Justin Laneway precinct and we’re here today to warn you that you’ll probably want to spend an entire week’s pay in one visit.

Greenfolk is the brainchild of well-regarded horticulturalist, landscape designer and Burleigh local Emily Cloke, who has translated her passion for plants into a commercial reality, transforming a former solicitors filing room into the Gold Coast’s newest green-filled space. At Greenfolk you’ll find a wide array of household plants from the everyday to the super-rare, alongside homewares, botanical-inspired artwork, gardening tools, vessels and more.

This glorious little nook has been impeccably styled into an urban jungle, dotted with pieces from boutique Australian brands like Capra Designs, Zakkia and Haws (the makers of dreamy watering cans). Given Emily’s 20-year horticulture background, Greenfolk is also a go-to for plant advice (we’re looking at you, serial plant killers) and also offers styling services for those looking to add a bit of life to residential or commercial spaces. This cool new botany shop, which joins the likes of speakeasy bar Lockwood, Iku Yakitori Bar and Nightjar in the Justin Laneway, is a little hidden, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the dreamy artwork by Art-Work Agency on the front walls.
