Boutique project Cornerstone Stores comes to life on the southern end

A new boutique retail and food precinct is sprouting up on the border of Currumbin and Tugun called Cornerstone Stores. If you’ve been rubbernecking at the construction site Gold Coast Highway near Currumbin Sanctuary, then here’s what you need to know.

Works are well underway on the new Cornerstone Stores, with the mixed-use development to feature eleven boutique retail and office spaces. Designed by architects Richards & Spence, the red brick-clad project will create a striking figure on the high-traffic site, which sits amid lush greenery just a stones throw from the Currumbin beachfront.

With an expected opening in January, Cornerstone Stores is set to gift us with a swag of rad new retailers and foodie hangs. A number of tenants have already been secured, with the likes of 70-seat wholefood cafe Stable Coffee + Kitchen, plus a boutique fromagerie and wine cellar called Quince, an organic vegan hairdresser called Zanzi, an activewear and beauty store called Prae and pilates studio called The Body Method. Take a closer look at Cornerstone Stores online, and keep your eyes peeled on The Weekend Edition for more details over the coming weeks.

By the way, you can read more about Stable Coffee + Kitchen and Quince in this week’s edition of Pavement Whispers.
