Pop your plants in glorious eco resin pots and vases from Capra Designs
Okay, so we’re going to point out the obvious here – plants, as in live green plants, are totally in. Yep, we’re digging the resurgence too. However, a plant ain’t nothing without a pot, and the plant only really does its job from a design point of view when it is placed in a stylish vessel. Cue Capra Designs, and its unique collection of eco-resin pots, vases, plant stands and hangers. Plant lovers, you’re in for a treat.
Owner and designer Bianca Lambert began experimenting with non-toxic water-based resins and, after finding the material wasn’t being widely used in homewares, she introduced the element into her work and was exposed to a whole new dynamic of colours and patterns. Then, Capra Designs was born. Well, it was born in Melbourne, but Gold Coasters are lucky enough that The Borrowed Nursery stocks a selection of these mind-blowing creations for the touchy-feely types among us. From afar, many of the pieces may understandably seem painted, however get a little closer and you’ll see that the pots and vessels are actually entirely resin, and the unique effect is achieved when pouring the resin into the mould. So, the colour is in the resin itself and the pattern is created on the pour. Cool, eh?
