Following the announcement that Australia Fair Metro has welcomed its first operators, the centre’s owners YFG Shopping Centres has unveiled a much-needed second stage that will commence in late September and include a stylish new facade and upgrade to the Scarborough Street entrance. The works will also include an entire renovation of Coles Supermarket, which will make it one of the most up-to-date stores in the country with an expanded layout of 4222 sqm, and boost the centre’s appeal for customers in line with upgrades already completed by major tenants including Kmart and Event Cinemas.

The announcement comes as the exciting new dining precinct, Australia Fair Metro, takes shape at the site of the centre’s former west wing. Offering a unique mix of retail, dining and services Australia Fair Metro is linked via a walk-bridge to Australia Fair. Construction of the revamped centre is expected to be completed in mid 2017.
