Beci Orphin launches new label Arro Home
Melbourne designer and colourful crafty lady Beci Orphin has been slowly revealing hints to a project she’s been working away at for about a year now. Finally her latest marvel has been revealed – in collaboration with entrepreneur Adam Rogers, Beci has launched new homewares label Arro Home.
Hand drawings, bows, dots and squiggles feature amongst the signature prints peppering kitchen textiles, bed linen and cushions, while a selection of rugs in patched kilim, jute and woven cotton will dress up cold winter floorboards. Also amongst the colourful soft furnishings and home adornments is a collection of raw and earthy ceramics, which are handmade in Melbourne by the Arro Home team. Lunch plates, beakers and cups come in the naturally speckled texture of the earthenware clay, with a sweet blue or pink stripe sweeping the circumference.
The homewares label combines mostly pieces designed in Melbourne by Beci and her team of assistants, along with a few treasures discovered abroad. With layering multiple colours, textures and patterns the manner of the Beci Orphin styling game, we think the Runes Quilt will look decidedly smart beneath a Sketchbook Throw with Diagonal Pillowcases up top. The debut collection is currently available for pre-order, with orders to be dispatched next month.
