Get crafty at Brisbane’s newest DIY arts headquarters, Workshop Hub
A brand-new arts initiative is calling all creative cats bayside to test their skills on a range of productive pursuits, from jewellery making and weaving to firing up the smoker.
For most of us, it’s been years – decades, even – since we were given an outlet like Workshop Hub to let our imagination fully express itself. Relive the creative freedom of kindy art classes (hopefully with a little more precision, but who are we to judge?) at a range of arts and crafts, lifestyle and cooking classes in the scenic surrounds of Manly’s Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. Create macrame wall hangings, woven tapestries, native wreaths, resin homewares, clay platters, Spanish paella, hot-smoked salmon and plenty more thanks to Workshop Hub founder Emma Wood.
Nab a new skillset to add to the Tinder bio at these intimate workshops with specialised teachers. Depending on the time of your class, you’ll also be provided with morning or afternoon tea, or wine and evening nibbles. Tap in to your creative genius for your next group catch-up, work team-building event, a unique date night or a casual way to meet like-minded mates. Check out the full program of workshops online and keep checking the Workshop Hub website for future additions such as gin flavouring, cocktail making, hairstyling and make-up application.
