Destination unknown – add some mystery to your next getaway with Wonderlust Escapes

If there’s one thing that is on everyone’s Christmas wish-list this year, it’s travel (truly, we will go anywhere). With borders reopening and airplanes soaring into the sky more regularly, now is the time to escape for a little vacay. If you want to add a bit of mystery into your next holiday (or just can’t be bothered planning all of the minute details), then you’ll be happy to hear that there is a new travel service that can take care of planning your trip – Wonderlust Escapes. Dust the cobwebs off your suitcase, and get ready to go on an adventure!

Wonderlust Escapes is the newest venture from the team behind Metro Travel Haus, a travel agency that was forced to close its doors earlier this year due to COVID. Combining their love for planning holidays and their dream of bringing back a little mystery into travellers’ lives, the forward-thinking travel consultants created a new online service that encompassed both. The Wonderlust Escapes crew design all-inclusive surprise escapes within Australia, so eager jet-setters can tick destinations like Uluru, the Great Barrier Reef and the Blue Mountains off their bucket list. The cherry on top? Every escape is all-inclusive, with flights, airport transfers, accommodation, dining and one surprise activity all taken care of – so all you have to worry about are your travel outfits.

There’s three different escapes to suit every different type of traveller – It’s Wonderful, Spoil me Rotten, and It’s Time for an Adventure, with each holiday tweaked to suit your budget and interests. Each different escape has around 20–30 destinations to choose from, and you can always exclude one to two destinations if you’ve travelled there before. Once your destination has been chosen (based on a personality questionnaire you take during the planing process) and your trip has been organised by your travel consultant, you’ll get notified on where you’re heading a week before departure so that you can pack accordingly – a pre-holiday activity that we will never take for grated again.
