Uniqlo announces its first Queensland stores in Brisbane

Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo has announced the highly anticipated opening of its first Queensland stores, with two locations set to open in Brisbane this summer.

Brisbane City and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre will be the locations of the first Queensland stores, coming off the back of the success Uniqlo has achieved in Australia since opening in Melbourne last year. The Brisbane City store will span over a vast 2044 square metres in the newly refurbished 170 Queen Street – the former Broadway on the Mall site. Indooroopilly Shopping Centre will house a smaller store on its second level.

Uniqlo looks to the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity when designing its clothes, renowned for its high-quality, stylish and affordable basics. The label also works to develop a range of innovative technologies in its fabrics to increase factors such as warmth, breathability and comfort. The Brisbane stores will stock Uniqlo’s full range of products, starting with the new spring/summer range. With stores already in New South Wales and Victoria, the opening of Brisbane City and Indooroopilly will bring Uniqlo’s Australian store count to eight. Look out on The Weekend Edition for official opening dates in the coming months.
