The Sartorialist: Closer book

Scott Schuman releases new book, The Sartorialist: Closer

Inspiring dress around the world and giving insight into the fashion and trends of different countries is Scott Schuman’s The Sartorialist. Capturing a moment in fashion history, The Sartorialist documents style from the streets of capitals Paris, Milan, New York and London to the smaller scapes of Sydney and Savannah.

Taking the unique and individual perspectives featured on his blog and collating his favourite moments into a book, Scott has released his second image-heavy tome, The Sartorialist: Closer. This collection of beautiful images of gentlemen and gentlewomen that have caught his expert eye sparks conversation about fashion, but also captures the emotion and personality of these nameless style mavens. Scott chose the title Closer as this latest book shows him homing in on the style of the people he wants to shoot.

Started as an attempt to redress the disconnect between the fashions of the photographic studio and top magazines and that which is found on the streets, The Sartorialist: Closer is a vivid compilation of human style as it is expressed through different cultures, genders and social standings across the world.
