The Emporium Barber

Wash the week away with a man facial at The Emporium Barber

While a feminine facial might cross lines for even the most metro man, taking care of those pores is still a necessity for maintaining a polished complexion.

Taking a modern approach towards the traditional barber shop, The Emporium Barber in Fortitude Valley snips locks and delivers cut-throat shaves, while you down a beer or sip an espresso. Also looking after the your facial region in the most gentlemanly way possible, the relaxing Face Freshen Up is a nice treat to make your skin feel like new again.

A basic and speedy addition to your grooming routine, the Face Freshen Up uses Baxter of California products to cleanse, tone and exfoliate skin, before smoothing everything out with a clay mask and moisturiser. Many a hot towel refreshes and soothes skin in between each step, with the whole service taking only 15–20 minutes. When combined with a traditional cut-throat shave, the exfoliation and clay mask in between the two shaves results in superbly smooth cheeks. The Face Freshen Up can easily be tacked on to a haircut, or can be completed while you’re waiting to get your locks trimmed. Walk-ins are welcome, but making an appointment will make the trip all the more swift.

The internal espresso bar at The Emporium Barber is also now open to the public as well as clients, accessible via both the barber and the Wickham Street side. Ladies are welcome to sample the Espresso Botero brews too – one even added on the uncomplicated Face Freshen Up last week too.
