The Black Keys x Richer Poorer

The Black Keys invests in Richer Poorer brohosiery

Patrick Carney of The Black Keys likes his socks. He likes to buy socks. He likes to wear socks. So naturally, he thought he’d inject a little extra of his normal sock fund into a brand that was wholesome and would, naturally, reward his bare feet.

The Black Keys drummer has made a financial foray into the sock industry, becoming a key investor in American label Richer Poorer. Patrick met Richer Poorer founders Tim Morse and Iva Pawling through his father-in-law and thought the investment was a worthy cause.

The American label is known for its pattern-, print- and colour-heavy designs, adding a sliver of fun between your shoe and cuff. A little more interesting than your usual stock-market investment, this venture could pave the way for a more interesting type of financial exchange. Quickly snapped-up drops of Richer Poorer socks can be found locally at Violent Green.
