Get suit ready for spring with some sharp tailoring from The Afternoon

If you can’t even fathom the thought of attending a function if your suit isn’t looking as snappy as possible, keep reading. The Afternoon is a Brisbane-based tailoring house that can tidy up your look and have you looking fresh-to-death for any spring function on your calendar.

Kurt Wildermuth and Nicholas Sangster are two seam-savvy gents that started The Afternoon in 2015. As practising lawyers and habitual suit wearers, the need for impeccable tailoring and the desire to enhance the way suits are worn in warmer climates led the duo to start their own boutique tailoring practice. The Afternoon has set up in a chic space in Fortitude Valley’s Foundry Studios, helping clients shed unnecessary details in a ‘less is more’ approach to tailoring.

Patrons are offered a guided tailoring experience, where luxury fabrics and eye-catching garments are altered to cut a sharp silhouette that fits the client’s own taste. The Afternoon eschews old-world practices to tailoring, choosing an approach suitable for the warm Queensland climate by ditching heavy fabrics and restrictive construction. To start building your spring wardrobe, book an appointment and let the experienced cutters, tailors and pressers show you how a suit should be worn.
