Find pin-up couture at new That Shop, Woolloongabba

Filling the empty shell left by the departed Miss Mouse in the Woolloongabba antique precinct is new boutique That Shop. Specialising in 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s reproductions, That Shop sources clothing and accessories from all over the world – from California and Las Vegas in the US to London and even a local Sydney label.

Ladies with wardrobes inclined towards the pin-up or rockabilly silhouette will find solace in this new boutique, with 1950s full skirts and slim sailor numbers finding a home next to shiny red belts and tulle petticoats. Polka dots, stripes and animal prints all feature across a strong red, black and navy palette, with the occasional floral and cherry pattern sneaking into the mix.

Rockabilly-worthy heels line up alongside hard-to-find back seam stockings and there’s even a range of short-sleeve button-ups and rocker t-shirts for the lads. Stocking well-fitted frocks, which hug the feminine figure like a glove or accentuate a tiny waist amongst curves, That Shop has proved popular among women of any age at its Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta stores, with Woolloongabba set to follow suit.
