It’s that time of year when keen surfers trade boardies for wetsuits and clamber out of bed on dark, chilly mornings to chase a perfect wave. We salute these seafaring folks, because winter to us is all about sleep-ins, pyjama afternoons and hot toddies. If you plan to continue hitting the beach during winter, you’ll need to keep up your board maintenance and the dapper Surfboard Grooming Kit might just make the task a little more enjoyable. Containing all the goods you need to ensure your board is in good nick, the kit is the result of a collaboration between Montreal boutique Archive and design collectives Make.co and Studio Point.

The set of grooming tools for your board includes a bronze and Brazilian lapacho waxcomb (which also doubles as a scraper and a bottle opener), a black cotton cloth, a bar of wax and a small bottle of methyl hydrate to clean off any wax residue. It also has a leather lanyard, which is handy for toting the kit about. Winter surfing folks, we take our hats off to you (and by hats, we mean the hoods of our toasty onesies).
