Street-style comp chronicles fashion in the city
Inspired by the diversity of people, cultures and fashion, Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist set out to create a two-way dialogue about the world of fashion and its relationship to daily life. His rise to international fame is well known, and he has since paved the way for hundreds of other street-style bloggers who have followed in his trailblazing footsteps.
Street-style photography captures the head-turning fashions and elegant outfits of everyday passersby. This chronicling of creativity, inner spirit and fashion sense showcases the vibrancy of fashion on the streets and as a collective of individuals.
On September 7, 14 and 21 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, a street style photographer will be roaming the Queen Street Mall, documenting the stylish gentlemen and gentlewomen of Brisbane. Dress up in your favourite spring/summer ensemble and have your photo snapped for the chance to win covetable prizes as part of a Brisbane street-style competition. The best looks from each day will even feature on the Brisbane City facebook page.
