Byron Bay’s St. Agni opens flagship store on James Street

Last weekend saw the doors fling open on 23 James Street, inviting Brisbane shoppers to feast their eyes on a tranquil Triibe-designed interior and laidback luxe wares.

Byron Bay brand St. Agni opened its second flagship store this month, and aren’t we grateful the label chose Fortitude Valley as its new home. Sitting proudly on 23 James Street, the boutique aims to offer customers a tangible experience beyond its predominantly online presence. With the majority of sales coming via the web, the bricks-and-mortar store reflects St. Agni’s design philosophy of minimalist luxury, thanks to the deft interior design skills of the Triibe studio. Natural and earthy tones combine with custom-made joinery and visual highlights such as Olivia Bossy’s timber point of sale, Yasmin Bawa’s hemp display plinths and Coe Studio’s custom ceramic lamp base.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Matt and Lara Fells, the label offers an elegant range of apparel, bags and handcrafted footwear. The family run business oozes Byron Bay style, from the unbelievably soft leather shoes to the cropped linen pants and wrap tops. St. Agni strives to minimise its impact on the environment by reducing waste, minimising plastic packaging by using reusable dust bags instead, and avoiding product surplus by aiming to only manufacture to meet demand. Head in to the new store to check out the best of St. Agni’s range, including the latest AW19 collection.
