From the carefully stitched pockets on the tees to the fine lines of the artwork, it’s the little details that make Brisbane-based label Shy Fox something special. After meeting in 2011 and launching their art and clothing range earlier this year, design duo Charlie and Seana combine skills in graphic design and illustration to produce t-shirts, skate decks, vintage clothes and art prints.

Bemused bears sit inside wooden frames while vintage wallets are pepped up with splashes of colour, but it’s the custom-made pocket tees that have proven most popular. Buyers are able to nominate their favourite combination of pocket print, shirt colour and size, and the artists will whip up the creation in their Red Hill studio. From cats in hats to toothy sharks and ship anchors, to Babushka dolls, simply browsing the fabrics on offer is a whirl in itself.
