Schedule playtime with a Lego clock by Loopy Designs

Playtime was so fun with Lego. Hours, days even, could be spent building entire cities of Lego buildings and Lego roads, with little yellow men and women walking stiff-legged through their brightly coloured environments, swapping wigs and hats. And just like the dispatchwork project has proven, Lego isn’t just for the young but also the young at heart.

An avid collector of the building blocks, Kate Matthews was making beaded jewellery when she branched out and created a single pair of Lego earrings for her sister. After the compliments and expressions of interest poured in, Kate, encouraged by the enthusiasm, began making necklaces, bracelets, cufflinks and more earrings under the name Loopy Designs, utilising the ever-growing Lego stash she had at home.

Taking things up a notch again, Kate and husband Shane also create Lego Clocks in a variety of colours. A techy time addition for any room, whether you’re an IT nerd, a bikie or a family man, rediscover the joys of Lego without leaving it strewn upon the carpet for your beloved to vacuum up. Pick one up at the new Hamilton Lifestyle Market this weekend.
