Drawing inspiration from natural surroundings and overseas adventures, Byron Bay label ROWIE has unveiled a new range of garments that embody the free-flowing nature of its beachside origins.

Seeking to offer something different from the mainstream that women could feel beautiful and comfortable in, Byron Bay designer Rowie created her own label in 2014, showcasing a range of garments inspired by far away places. After teaching herself the craft of fashion design from a young age, Rowie decided it was time to take her passion seriously, which has resulted in a successful label that now boasts two stores of its own. Rowie designs all elements of her label’s garments, which are manufactured with the help of independent artisans.

ROWIE’s new spring collection is called ‘Tapestry’ and is inspired by the rich deep hues and pastel colours seen on a recent trip through Europe. ‘Tapestry’ aims to reflect the ever-changing landscape and riches discovered on the road and at home. Breezy dresses, tops, blouses and more feature throughout the collection, with an eye-catching palette of colour showcased alongside light fabrics. You can get a closer look at ROWIE’s garments at its two boutiques – one in Bangalow and one in Byron Bay (the latter being a collaboration store with Tigani Lux) – as well as at Bohemian Sundays at Peregian Beach, Flynn Gallery Contemporary Artspace in Broadbeach and at the Brisbane Finders Keepers Market on November 5–6.
