Restock your handbag for winter

Restock your handbag for winter

It’s starting to get a little chilly out there, and that means it’s time to restock the beauty cabinet with winter essentials. As party of your winter beauty overhaul, don’t forget to update the daily essentials in your handbag.

Five beauty essentials for the handbag we will be stocking up on this winter are:

Tissues: You never know when a cold may strike, so think ahead by packing a small packet of tissues. As an adult, it’s no longer acceptable to wipe your sniffles on your sleeve. If packaging is important to you, visit Daiso in the city for small packets of tissues encased in bright hues.

Fingerless gloves: Gloves can be cumbersome, especially if you sit behind a computer all day. Keep those joints warm on chilly mornings and still get on with your day by keeping an emergency pair of fingerless gloves in reach.

Lucas’ Pawpaw Ointment: Keep dry and cracked lips at bay by regularly slathering them in a slick of this ointment. It’s made from Queensland-grown fruit, so you know you won’t be inhaling anything artificial.

Handcream: It’s likely you’ll need to upgrade your handcream to something a little more robust to keep your skin soft during spells of brisk weather. Brands including Aesop, Kiehl’s and Jurlique all stock moisturisers for winter. It can also be worth visiting neighbourhood markets to unearth natural products from local alchemists.

Face mist: Loaded with minerals that keep skin hydrated, face mists can be used in addition to moisturiser, and can be sprayed over make-up when out and about. The Body Shop and Mecca Maxima stock face mists, and you can also try making your own with water, aloe vera juice and a few drops of rosehip oil.
