Portable Taking Back Retail

Portable launches Taking Back Retail book

Digital innovator Portable is set to launch a tome that addresses the shift towards online shopping, and equips retailers with the digital skills to reclaim customers.

Over the past year, Portable co-founders Simon Goodrich and Andrew Apostola have researched and written the majority of Taking Back Retail, a practice guide for retailers, designers, brands and professionals to use to build a brand online. Simon (who is based in Melbourne) and Andrew (who lives in New York and also heads up Svbscription) believe the pendulum has swung too far in favour of dominating bigger brands, and want to help fashion designers and boutique owners reclaim the glory years.

Due to be released in June 2013, Taking Back Retail explores the intricacies of presenting, growing and selling a fashion brand in the digital realm. The lads have hoarded a flock of knowledge over the years while working with fashion labels and retailers to build digital platforms and create fashion films, so they thought it was about time they gave some of this wisdom back. Support the project on Kickstarter to help the book be published.
