TWE Suitcase Rummage and Crafternoon

Pop-Up Suitcase Rummage hosts first Crafternoon

Local crafters, rummagers and hagglers will descend upon the Brisbane Powerhouse this weekend as the Pop-Up Suitcase Rummage hosts a cosy Crafternoon and guest talk on the Performance Lawn.

You know the warm fuzzy feeling that ripples through your veins when you catch a spark of creative genius and harness it to make something new? Imagine that multiplied when you share the creative process with friends old and new at a very special Pop-Up Suitcase Rummage and Crafternoon this Sunday March 30. The rummage will see stuffed trunks littered around the Brisbane Powerhouse grounds from 1:00–6:00 pm as locals fossick for vintage clothing, secondhand books, handmade jewellery, vinyl treasures and much more.

The free Crafternoon session will run from 2:00–5:00 pm, with guests invited to BYO rug, healthy snacks and any materials required to work on the craft project of their choice. From 3:00 pm, the eco-minded ladies behind experimental fashion label Maison Briz Vegas will inspire crafters with a free talk about sustainable fashion. Hear the insights of label co-founders Carla Binotto and Carla van Lunn, who salvage fabric and household waste items to create unique upcycled garments.
