Local label Oxë embraces minimalist prints

While the craft world often swathes its fashion and accessories with foxes, owls and elks, lads tend to like things with a little more grit. Local label Oxë adorned its first collection Oxë is Bare with the odd bear, rooster and tree design last year, with these prints joining the brand’s minimalistic triangles and circles as features on t-shirts.

Channelling minimalist design theories paired with animalistic trails of thought, Oxë is built off a foundation of simplicity and quality. One of only four printers in Australia to use the Brother GT-782 direct-to-garment printing process, the label is dedicated to ensuring transfers last.

The creation of four Brisbane lads – Joel Meacock, Jeremy Griffin, Jack Hamilton and Nick Vucak – Oxë is a mesh of the group’s individual fashion styles, which find a happy medium amongst each new line. New collection Love The Villain is out in March, in which fans of the brand can keep things simple with a black or white t-shirt base or choose from a palette including brights of blues, oranges, red and green, or deep maroon and navy and muted cream.
