Secret Squirrel sneaks into We Live Like This

It’s that blissful time of year again. The time when the silky fabrics of Sydney label Secret Squirrel are stitched together and shipped off to Paddington’s We Live Like This for our adoring, cheek-rubbing pleasure.

It seems just two seasons of Secret Squirrel per year is not enough to satisfy our style appetite, but it’s this exclusivity of design that keeps us here at The Weekend Edition waiting eagerly on our toes for the next drop.

From humble beginnings selling under a canvas umbrella at the Glebe Markets, to becoming a much coveted label stocked at Australia’s leading boutiques, the creative force of Bri Cheeseman and Andrew Prince is about to once again fill wardrobes and leave wallets happily empty with the release of the winter 2012 collection, Art Class.

Taking inspiration from modernist artists Paul Klee and Anni Albers, as well as Native American handicrafts and quilting, Art Class incorporates striking hand-painted prints by Melbourne-based artist Ainslie Fletcher. With this stunning new collection in tones of blush, camel, grey and amber now available at We Live Like This, The Weekend Edition suspects the brand’s sense of quiet luxury will very quickly filter through to the street style of Paddington’s ladies about town.
