Wizard-like wordsmiths and beloved weather girls – Museum of Brisbane launches its first-ever podcast series, Where I Belong
For the last few years, podcasts have quickly become a favourite way to pass the time whilst also learning about something new. Whether they focus on real-life murder mysteries, long-forgotten celebrity dramas or it’s just two people having a chat about what’s making headlines – podcasts are endlessly entertaining. Enter what will now be our new listening obsession – Museum of Brisbane’s brand-new podcast series Where I Belong.
Museum of Brisbane’s fresh-faced podcast series Where I Belong is hosted by renowned journalist, audio producer and storyteller Wendy Love, who has had an abundant career both here in Australia and overseas in the United States. The series will see Wendy, who is now a long-term Brisbane local, interview homegrown legends with different but equally rich backgrounds, careers and life experiences. These interviewees will serenade your ears with sweet stories about their lives in and around Brisbane, and will share diverse perspectives that shine a new light on our city.
Tune in to Wendy having a heart-to-heart with celebrated Boy Swallows Universe author Trent Dalton, Quandamooka artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins and even former Lord Mayor of Brisbane Sallyanne Atkinson AO. Other curiosity-piquing characters that round out the podcast line-up include artist Michael Zavros, ABC News weather presenter Jenny Woodward and playwright and artistic director Wesley Enoch AM. Through anecdotes shared with these fascinating figures, the podcast will delve into unheard stories about Brisbane and the community. Itching to get listening?
