Meet the Makers at Artisan

Meet some of Brisbane’s best makers

If you’ve spied a quirky Liana Kabel piece of jewellery or a kitsch keepsake from Everingham & Watson, you’ve probably pondered over the ladies behind the brands. Satisfy your curiosity with a free Meet the Makers session at Artisan.

Contemporary jewellery designer Liana Kabel has the kind of crafty mind that can see a beautiful piece of jewellery in a plain old piece of Tupperware or an everyday set of knitting needles. Meanwhile, local ladies Susie Everingham and Liz Watson both have an exceptional eye for design, handpicking unique pieces for their Newstead and online stores, as well as creating their own cute collection of homewares, jewellery, stationery and more.

If you’d like to shake the hands that crafted such beauty, join the talented trio for a special Meet the Makers session at Fortitude Valley’s Artisan from 3:00–4:00 pm this Saturday October 5. Liana will discuss her latest experiments with resin and vintage crystal rhinestones, while Susie and Liz will chat about the highs and lows of establishing a retail business and working as a team. Guests are invited to linger for a complimentary glass of wine after the presentation.
