Le Specs team up with Anthony Lister to create wearable art

The Australian glasses brand his re-imagined their line of signature specs with the aid of renowned street artist, Anthony Lister. The pairing has produced a range of vivid designs with a visionary aesthetic.

Denizens of Sydney may be more familiar with the work of Anthony Lister than residents of Australia’s other capital cities thanks to his penchant for leaving his mark on numerous walls around the city, but the acclaimed street artist is renowned globally for his vibrant and daring work. After putting his signature tag on the side of the Le Specs HQ, designer Hamish Tames was struck by inspiration and asked Lister to not only come back and finish his work, but to come inside and collaborate on a new range of sunglasses.

The collaborative pairing came together for the launch of Le Specs latest range, Time Traveller. The Time Traveller range brings old styles into the modern age, made with different materials and finishes with bolder, sharper and contemporary updates. Wayfarers, aviators and oversized styles are included in the range with frames coming in unique colours such as icy-blue and pastels, as well as boasting holographic-effect mirror lenses.

Anthony Lister’s collection continues this modern update but takes it further, with splashes of colour, bold patterns and unique embellishments making the frames truly unique. Although getting your hands on a pair of Lister frames would prove difficult, the Time Traveller collection has been released in retailers and boutiques across Australia.
