Ironlak is a brand synonymous with Australia’s thriving street art scene, being an integral part of the art form’s evolution since emerging on the market with its iconic range of spray paints. To cement its presence in its spiritual home of Brisbane, Ironlak has just opened its very first Brisbane flagship store, situated on Queen Street Mall in a classically cool subterranean space. Murals from Sofles and Vans the Omega plus a host of illuminated shelves of multi-coloured paints and paint products break up the space’s dark interior colour palette, making the store a welcoming hub for any artistically minded individuals.

The shelves showcase Ironlak’s evolution from its inception to now, as evidenced by the range of goods on offer. The list of wares available in store is lengthy, and includes products such as aerosol paint, watercolour pencils, gel pens, permanent markers, acrylic, oil and gouache paint easels, canvasses as well as Ironlak apparel. Trial benches have been installed for newcomers to try out Ironlak products on sample canvasses, with all staff boasting artistic backgrounds to help customers navigate the extensive range. In the coming months the store will host a range of events from product tutorials, panel discussions and even the odd movie screening.
