HAN womenswear

Local label HAN returns with womenswear for autumn

The debut spring/summer collection from local designer HAN saw gentlemanly wardrobe staples presented – the clean, crisp lines of Basics in Hue splayed out with singular tones and refined craftsmanship.

Now for his sophomore season, Khim Hang continues to present his minimalist cloth architecture for the lads, but has also delved into the realm of womenswear. The autumn/winter 2013 collection Portraits sees a monochromatic palette of black, white and grey tones come into play for the ladies, with the occasional splash of bold navy in the Edith Drill Pant.

Knit separates, skivvies and high-waisted pants feature in fabrics of wool, raglan and cord, while a crisp white shirt dress and technical coat with cape add-ons and leather detailing add line and structure to the soft winter fabrics. A slight 1990s sports look can be seen in the assemblage of a white raincoat and pant set against a black tee, as well as a pullover tied loosely around the waist. Circle skirts add femininity, while a unisex Archie Bomber jacket features across both the men’s and women’s offerings.

The corresponding menswear collection sees more navy featured, as well as detailed panelling and a venture into suiting and matching two-pieces. Watch the suave, seductive and mysterious fashion film exhibiting Portraits here.
