Free gigs and discount gym memberships – how to earn rewards by making healthy choices
Coming into summer, we’re trying to get our acts together when it comes to our health, wellbeing and fitness regimes. Sometimes though, with the silly season looming over our heads, it can be a difficult task to stay on track. One company that’s helping us keep our commitment to healthier living is GMHBA, an Australian not-for-profit private health insurance and care provider. To do this, GMHBA has recently partnered with AIA Vitality, the globally renowned health and wellbeing program that rewards you for healthy behaviours. Together, the companies are rewarding members for keeping healthy and active with vouchers, discounts and some super savings. Get fit and be gifted with freebies? Now, that’s one way to motivate us.
GMHBA’s partnership with AIA Vitality will help members understand where they are on their health journey and reward them for the efforts they are making – whether it be through fitness ventures or getting regular check ups. To join the AIA Vitality program and kickstart your health journey, all you have to do is choose a GMBHA product with AIA Vitality. Once you’ve activated your membership, you can start earning points by completing activities that help you learn about and improve your health. This might be anything from tracking your steps when you go for a long morning walk to visiting the dentist after putting it off for just a little bit too long. You can also earn rewards by participating in AIA Vitality’s online and in-person health assessments.
As we all know, results require effort and so the more activities you engage in, the more points you earn and the higher your AIA Vitality status is. There are four levels that members can achieve – Bronze (the status that users start on), Silver, Gold and Platinum. For every 10,000 points, you move up to a higher status, which, like a golden ticket, gives you access to a bevy of rewards and discounts. Some stellar deals and rewards you can access include up to 50 percent off gym memberships at facilities like Fitness First and Anytime Fitness, up to 25 percent off fitness devices such as Fitbit and Garmin, and up to $500 in vouchers per membership per year for Myer, Woolworths, Bunnings, Amazon and Ticketmaster (hellooooo, free concerts!). For those who want to cure their travel bug, you can even score up to 50 percent cash back on eligible Virgin Australia flights each year.
