It might be by engineered intent or complete coincidence that the newest collection of garments from Gail Sorronda gains traction around Halloween, but the brand’s current collection has all the stylistic touchstones of classic horror films of the silver screen. The newest range – entitled Quelle Horreur – walks the line between light and dark and masculine and feminine, and is set to turn heads in trademark Sorronda style. Designed as a ‘parody of seductive angels and pious wives’, Quelle Horreur offers a range of ready-to-wear pieces than can be worn through the day and night.

Quelle Horreur offers a range of garments from eye-catching t-shirts, bow shorts and silk faux aprons to striking dresses, scarves and vampiric jumpsuits. A bold colour palette of black, red and white feature predominantly, with loose, draping fabrics creating wing-like silhouettes. A range of tasselled earrings made in collaboration with 2 by Lyn and Tony as well as a selection of silk flower ribbons and shirt pins are also available in the collection, which can be seen in person at Gail Sorronda’s boutique off James Street. Gail will be unveiling the collection in full at James Street RESORT 2016, so expect to see Gail Sorronda garments grace the pages of fashion magazines in the coming months.
