Exude classic style with J. Crew’s ballet flats
Since 1983, New York based retailer J. Crew has worked its way up the fashion ladder with its lavish take on wardrobe staples – think sports-style sweatshirts made from cashmere, silk singlets and cafe trousers in pure linen.
Known for taking a classic style and stamping it with a unique touch, J. Crew has released a collection of 60 ballet flats in varying shades, styles and textures.
Finding fame post Audrey Hepburn’s chic stylings in the 1957 film Funny Face, ballet flats have been allowed a permanent place in wardrobes ever since due to their timeless appeal and day-to-night versatility.
Made in Tuscany by a small family-run factory of clever cordwainers, the J. Crew collection comes in bold matte colours, woven and perforated designs, sequined and suede textures, metallics and prints. Drawing colour inspiration from fabric swatches, Pantone cards, art books and sweet treats, J. Crew’s Italian tannery create the ballet flat colour wheel from scratch, so to ensure a palette exclusive to the label.
With a rubber sole for extra comfort, wear wandering the city streets all day and well into your weekend evening outing.
