New French labels Heimstone and Leenoy at Ellia, Wilston
Inspired by the young designer fashions found on a recent trip the Paris, the stylish folk behind the Wilston and Fortitude Valley Ellia boutiques have brought back some French femininity to Brisbane.
With only two collections under its belt, French label Heimstone has released the Beacon collection this season, featuring a range of pieces that fall into the day pyjamas style, easily floating from day to night wear. Pretend you are Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, lounging about in all your shiny goods, passing the time with a bowl of grapes and a cool beverage to escape the American summer heat. Founded by Alix Petit in 2007, Heimstone has just opened its second Paris boutique, housed on the affluent Rue Cambon in a former cheese shop.
Also taking your wardrobe from day to night, with floaty broderie anglaise dresses to short shift numbers is another French label, Leenoy. From retro to glam and always feminine, try on the slinky Salma or asymmetrical Malte with a sturdy brogue or delicate sandal during the day, before dressing it up with suede wedges in the evening. The only stockist of these labels in Australia, pop in to Ellia’s Wilston or Fortitude Valley stores to see these fresh French labels for yourself.
