London-based fashion retailer COS opens its Brisbane flagship
Fashion-forward folk of Brisbane flipped out back in March when we first dropped the news that beloved London-based retailer COS would be coming to the sunshine state. In the months since, we’ve been waiting with bated breath to see what the fashion powerhouse would be bringing with its first Queensland offering. All will be revealed this Friday November 16 when COS opens the doors to its brand-new retail space.
Taking up residence in Queen Street Mall’s prestigious Wintergarden complex, this COS store marks the brand’s seventh Australian venture following openings in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. The flagship Queensland store spans 474 square-metres and sprawls over two levels, offering both menswear and womenswear. The opening coincides with the launch of the COS spring/summer collection which explores two key aesthetics – new proportions and soft tailoring. This drop provides a new take on classic pieces, taking inspiration from architectural lines and geometric shapes.
The space itself has been designed with a nod to local architecture, making the most of textures by employing local brickwork into the build. The alignment of the bricks has been offset to create a façade that offers both shade and dappled sunlight to filter into the store, adding a dreamy and timeless effect. The interiors marry the COS duel ethos of function and modern design, with touches like bespoke fitting rooms and curated lounge areas adding a touch of sophistication to the shopping experience.
COS will open its doors at Wintergarden on Friday November 16 – for opening hours, head to the Stumble Guide.
