When your wardrobe selections are feeling a little tired, sometimes all it takes is a new pair of socks to freshen up your kit.

A splash of colour and a rad pattern peeking out from beneath your cuffs can make your outfit suddenly look great – but you’ll feel even better knowing that purchasing those socks contributed to helping those in need. Designed by budding entrepreneurs Diana Charabin and Jeff House, Cole and Parker socks will keep your feet looking smart, but also use 20 per cent of proceeds from each pair sold to support entrepreneurs living in poverty.

Using the ‘one-for-many’ model, Cole and Parker have partnered with non-profit organisation Kiva, loaning proceeds of each purchase to entrepreneurs in poverty. Through a worldwide network of micro-finance institutions, Kiva has successfully facilitated more than $500 million of loans to entrepreneurs in poverty, with a 99 per cent repayment rate. So by purchasing a few humble pairs of brightly coloured socks online, you can help contribute to multiple start-up companies around the world.
