Team chinos with a classic chambray shirt

As Brisbane’s cold winter days move ever so slowly towards spring, a washed cotton chambray shirt is a perfect choice for off-duty days soaking up the warmer weather.

Designers using classics like chambray, authentic denim washes and indigo looks proved to be a strong trend on the runways this season. Mainly used for shirting, chambray is made by weaving white threads together with coloured threads in an array of different hues. From denim to icy blues and dark indigo, chambray can come in clean, unwashed crosshatch or noisy chambray constructions. This blend is what gives it a relaxed, informal feel.

The easy fit makes the chambray shirt a casual classic, while considered accents like raw wooden buttons or mother of pearl add a refined touch. Team it with chinos and sockless brown leather loafers on well-dressed weekends, or wear it from head to toe in suit form for a-day-at-the-polo elegance.
