These is red bottoms – Christian Louboutin has opened a new boutique on Queen Street
For fans of both high heels and the tv series Sex and The City, when footwear-obsessed fashionista Carrie Bradshaw mused “I have this little substance abuse problem. Expensive footwear.”, we empathised with her character on a deep level. If you too love to treat your trotters to a great pair of shoes, then you’ll love this next piece of information – Christian Louboutin has opened a brand-new boutique in The City. Praise be.
The City has been blessed with a bright-red arrival thanks to luxury retailer Christian Louboutin. The iconic fashion brand, known for its red-soled shoes, handbags, wallets and other accessories, has taken over a 154-sqm space on Queen Street for its new Brisbane flagship. The store’s design is inspired by dahabiya, a traditional Egyptian houseboat that sails the Nile in Christian Louboutin’s beloved home of Egypt, with the space surrounded with white wooden walls typical of a dahabiya boat hold. Upon entering the store, shoppers are greeted with a tribute to the designer’s eclectic aesthetic in the form of an eye-catching photo collage, which chronicles Christian’s inspirations. Those looking to plop down for a fitting can do so on armchairs wrapped in elegant textiles, whilst the store’s plush red carpeting makes for, well, a good red carpet.
Of course, the store is pretty but it’s what’s on the inside that counts. On each side of the boutique, displays made of suedine and studs feature the latest styles of Christian Louboutin’s collection. The new fall/winter 21 shoe and accessory collections for both women and men are currently spotlighted, along with three styles that are housed exclusively at the Brisbane boutique. We suggest stepping inside this dazzling shopping destination, but be warned – you might not exit without a new pair of red-bottomed booties.
You’ll find Christian Louboutin’s new Brisbane boutique at shop 15/215 Queen Street.
