Poketo bike bell

Adorn your bicycle with a cheery fruit bell

A perfect way to put you in good spirits, a leisurely bicycle ride awakens the senses, fills the lungs with puffs of fresh air and – as an added bonus – often concludes with a picnic feast of cheese and crackers in the park.

How do you make bicycle rides even more enjoyable? With a vibrant bike bell, of course. Made by Los Angeles-based husband-and-wife team, Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, Poketo’s bicycle bells infuse each bike ride with healthy splash of colour. Through their online store, Poketo, Ted and Angie hope to break down the traditional barriers of art viewing by selling wares that inject artworks into the planes of daily life.

The handpainted bicycle bells form part of their collection of artworks, with the handmade element of the production process ensuring that each bell is just a little bit different to its siblings. Each bell is painted with non-toxic paints (which make the flowers you cycle past breathe a happy sigh of relief), before being baked to ensure the paint is weather resistant.

The bicycle bells are in keeping with the tropical tiki trend of the past summer, and we recommend wearing your favourite fruity garment whilst cycling and chiming the bright-hued bell.
