Ben Sherman autumn/winter 2013

Ben Sherman gets a little preppy for autumn

Once a run-down immigrant area of East London visited only for its curry houses, Brick Lane is now a mecca of activity as folk make their way from vintage boutiques to concealed watering holes. Spend an afternoon exploring Brick Lane and your memory will be imprinted with vibrant images of bold and eclectic fashion and vibrant street art.

It’s this energy that flows along Brick Lane that the designers at Ben Sherman plucked inspiration from for the label’s autumn/winter 2013 collection.

A recent influx of fresh-faced denizens to East London is reflected in Ben Sherman’s designs – reminiscent of preppy college-style looks – while warmer autumnal colours and cosy pieces such as cable-knit jumpers reference the collection’s English heritage. Playful lines and detailing also serve as a reminder that, no matter your age, you should always have a little fun with your style.
